Job Description Job Description Substation Construction Manager Location: McCamey, TX Contract Duration: 12 Months Overview Our client is a leading energy infrastructure company seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee critical substation construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with 6-10 years of construction management experience to lead complex electrical infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on job sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective project completion Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality for adherence to standards Maintain open communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout projects Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections Lead and manage construction teams, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts Work with EPC contractors to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders Oversee material procurement and management Manage concrete work including flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, and GSU containment pits Requirements 6-10 years of construction management experience, preferably in electrical/substation construction Vast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings Thorough understanding of safety regulations and hazard identification/mitigation Strong problem-solving abilities to keep projects on track Experience with concrete work and foundation systems Broad understanding of company policies and procedures Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to work full-time on-site in McCamey, TX What We Offer Competitive hourly rate of up to $58/hour 12-month contract duration providing stability Opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy infrastructure projects Professional development in the growing renewable energy sector Weekly time sheet processing
