Job Description:
Description Edge Systems is seeking a Field Technician to
support drilling operations through the installation, maintenance,
and monitoring of mudlogging and data acquisition systems. This
role is critical to ensuring accurate, real-time data delivery to
clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Rig up, operate,
and rig down mudlogging units and associated equipment Maintain and
troubleshoot sensors, gas detection systems, and surface logging
equipment Professionally respond to in field support calls
Communicate effectively with geologists, drillers, and remote
operations teams Perform routine maintenance and calibration of
equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on
location Drive / tow units to remote drilling locations Maintain
assigned vehicle Qualifications Candidates will have the following
MINIMUM qualifications Prior experience in mudlogging, field
operations, or oil & gas Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Basic understanding of drilling operations and rig site workflow
Ability to work in remote environments and extreme weather
conditions Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Valid
driver’s license and clean driving record Preferred Candidates will
have: Experience with gas detection and chromatography systems
Familiarity with WITS/WITSML data systems Basic networking or IT
troubleshooting experience 2 year Associates or VoTech certificate
OR technical Military Background
