You Will Do: We have an opportunity for a Technical Team Member in
the Mechanical Control Lab (MCL) to be based in Columbus, GA.
(onsite role) Mechanical Testing: (may include) Perform daily walk
arounds to prior to testing Receive-in and inspect testing
specimens for accuracy Sort priorities as needed Operate multiple
creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for
Specimen destructive testing Comply with all training required,
including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard
Work. Log testing data in UGA (as needed) Maintain required log
books Check/ validate testing accuracy Perform 6s each shift Engage
in process optimization to allow success of production/quality
goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings Complete all
training within the expected time given This role is 1st shift,
Week days Qualifications You Must Have: HS Diploma or GED 1 Year of
relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing production and/or
quality Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other
measuring equipment. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S.
citizens are authorized to access information under this
program/contract. Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and
may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required.
Qualifications We Value: Two to five years’ experience in
quality/aerospace manufacturing environment. Technical degree or
certification is great to have Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS
PowerPoint, and quality procedures. Understanding of internal and
external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in
