About The Position Midland, TX Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking skilled Emergency Medicine Physicians (MDs) for a high-impact locum tenens assignment at Midland Memorial Hospital. This opportunity delivers robust clinical support, flexible scheduling, and streamlined credentialing for Texas licensure. Opportunity Details - Location: Midland, TX - Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine - Assignment Length: Long-term (6 months) - FTE Need: 3 Full-Time Equivalents - Shifts per Month: 30–35 (Days, Swings, Nights TBD) - Start Date: September 1, 2025 Position Overview - Provide comprehensive emergency care across adult and pediatric populations in a busy community ED - Manage high-acuity cases, triage effectively, and initiate critical interventions - Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice, and ancillary teams to develop and execute care plans - Perform required procedures (e.g., airway management, conscious sedation, fracture reduction) - Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and participate in quality-improvement initiatives Candidate Requirements - Board Certification/Eligibility: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) - Licensure: Active Texas MD license (or eligibility via expedited temporary licensure) - Clinical Files: Clean credentialing files only; no pending actions or sanctions - Certifications: Life-support requirements pending (will accept ABEM-eligible providers with prerequisites completed prior to start) - COVID-19: Vaccine or exemption requirement TBD by facility Program & Facility Details - Annual ED Volume: ~73,000 visits (?199 per day) - ED Bed Count: TBD - Patients per Hour: 2–2.5 - APC Coverage: Projected 50 physician hours and 50 APC hours per week - Scribe Coverage: TBD - EMR System: Medhost - Trauma Designation: TBD - Admitting Orders: Managed onsite—details to follow Travel & Benefits - Competitive weekly pay (negotiable based on experience) - AAA-rated malpractice & liability coverage - Full travel & lodging assistance (housing/meals stipends available) - Dedicated credentialing and compliance support for a seamless onboarding This is an exceptional opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physicians seeking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic community setting.
