Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 Years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring NRP ACLS Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery. Nurses will assist with high-risk deliveries and support mothers during the postpartum period. Responsibilities include performing sterile exams, administering medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and assisting with cesarean sections. The position requires strong skills in patient assessment and care management, particularly in high-risk obstetrical scenarios. Nurses will also provide breastfeeding and lactation support to new mothers. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high patient-to-nurse ratio. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role. Compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures is mandatory. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected. Regular participation in continuing education and training sessions is encouraged to maintain competencies.
