Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 8-hour shifts with flexible scheduling • On-call requirement of 8 days per month • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Dress code requirement: Navy scrubs • Local candidates not accepted • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in operating room patient care • Work as part of surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel • Ensure supplies and timeliness of surgical cases • Communicate with patient families during procedures • Update physician preference cards and maintain accurate documentation • Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures • Supervise personnel delivering patient care in operating room environment • Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies • Anticipate and plan for comprehensive patient care throughout surgical procedures Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with multiple operating rooms providing a wide range of surgical services.
