Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wound Care Coordinator to join our team. As part of our network that includes inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies, this role is pivotal in overseeing the wound care processes and ensuring exceptional care standards across our facilities. The Wound Care Coordinator will manage patient care relating to wound treatment and prevention, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement comprehensive care plans that optimize patient outcomes. Assess patient wounds and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and pain management to ensure alignment with healing objectives. Educate staff and patients on wound care procedures and prevention techniques. Provide direct care and consultative services as an expert in wound care management. Maintain compliance with all health care regulations and ensure documentation meets required standards. Participate in research and review of current literature to stay current with new treatments and practices in wound care. Strong knowledge of wound care therapies and treatments. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in using medical software for patient management. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or similar certification. Valid nursing license.
