Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in both facility-based
and home-based patient care, is seeking an experienced Wound
Program Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This role is
pivotal in overseeing our comprehensive wound care programs across
our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health
agencies. The Wound Program Coordinator will be responsible for the
development, implementation, and evaluation of wound management
practices, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
By collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the individual in
this position will optimize outcomes in wound healing and promote
best practices in wound care. Develop and implement wound care
programs, tailored to meet the needs of patients across various
settings. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess
patient needs, plan treatment, and coordinate care. Provide
training and support to clinical staff in best practices for wound
care management. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wound
care practices and make necessary adjustments. Ensure compliance
with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as
organizational policies regarding wound care. Participate in
research and development activities related to wound care and
represent the organization at professional conferences and
seminars. Expertise in wound care management and treatment. Strong
organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a
multidisciplinary team. Proficient in using electronic health
record (EHR) systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) preferred. Valid
nursing or relevant healthcare professional license.
