Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Operating Room Location: Midland, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,762 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with charting systems Description: 5x8 hour shifts are required. Call is required after 2:30 PM, on weekends and holidays. Preferred start date is within the next 3-5 weeks. Average caseload is 10-15 patients per day. 7-10 days of requested time off can typically be accommodated as long as time is made up at the end of the contract. Patients include adults and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 10-15 patients. There are 5 rooms and 8 beds in the unit. Knowledge of the following skills is required: General OR, organ donation, vein stripping, CVOR, hybrid OR, atherectomy, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), femoral cannulation, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, pulmonary lobe resection, thoracotomy, VATS (video-assisted thoracic surgery), administration of blood and blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling and labeling, starting peripheral IVs, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, wound management, aortic aneurysm repair, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortocaval fistula repair, aortoenteric fistula repair, arteriovenous malformation surgery, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, TEVAR (thoracic endovascular aortic repair), and mediastinoscopy. Self-scheduling is available with a primary patient ratio of 1:1. Shift requirements include working some holidays. An on-site drug screen will be conducted.
