Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a leader in integrated healthcare services operating across 42 states, we provide high-quality, cost-effective care tailored to the specific needs of post-acute patients. In this role, the successful candidate will employ specialized knowledge and skills to care for patients who have trouble breathing or suffer from other cardiopulmonary disorders, directly impacting patient outcomes and recovery processes. Assess and monitor patient respiratory conditions via diagnostic tests and discussions with healthcare team members. Develop and implement targeted respiratory care plans and administer appropriate therapies. Educate patients and families on treatments, conditions, and care plans. Maintain and operate medical equipment used for respiratory healthcare. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care across the post-acute continuum. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and safety standards. Expert knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment High attention to detail with a dedication to improving patient health Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid and current Respiratory Therapist license. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential mandatory; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) a plus.
