Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our innovative healthcare team, servicing both facility-based and home-based settings across 42 states. This position will focus on providing top-tier respiratory care tailored to the needs of our post-acute patients. Our Respiratory Therapists are critical in our mission to deliver cost-effective care that encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities from administering respiratory treatments to educating patients and their families about lung health. Assess patient health status and determine appropriate respiratory care. Implement ventilator management and monitoring for patients. Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity. Educate patients and families on lung health and respiratory treatments. Prepare and maintain records of patient therapy and progress. Respond to and manage life-saving situations using appropriate protocols. Advanced knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment. Ability to perform under stress in emergencies. Proficient in the use of electronic health records. Strong communication skills for educating patients and teamwork. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Current state license to practice respiratory therapy.
