Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Odessa, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,878 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/21/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years Preferred License: RRT Required Certifications: ACLS BLS NRP PALS Must-Have: Previous experience in adult medical/surgical and adult critical care Experience with pediatric patients Description: The role requires a registered respiratory therapist responsible for providing care to adult medical/surgical, adult critical care, and general pediatric patients. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Certifications must include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Responsibilities include direct intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care, and management. Therapists will also perform pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and assist in bronchoscopies. Candidates should be able to manage various respiratory conditions, including ARDS, pneumonia, and COVID. Familiarity with a range of equipment and procedures is vital, including high-frequency jet ventilation and IMV. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including potential weekend shifts.
