As a Dietary Cook at Encompass Health, you will play a crucial role in preparing dietary-specific meals for our patients, adhering to high standards of nutrition and hygiene. Prepare meals according to the dietary prescriptions provided by the healthcare team Ensure strict adherence to sanitation and safety guidelines as per regulatory requirements Regularly inspect ingredients for freshness and manage inventory effectively Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare providers to refine menus according to patient needs Educate kitchen staff on proper handling and preparation techniques for various diets Maintain documentation related to food safety plans and compliance audits Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition Proficiency in kitchen equipment and cooking techniques Strong organizational skills Ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent communication and teamwork skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ServSafe Certification Culinary Certification (optional but beneficial) Nutrition and Wellness Certifications (preferred)
