Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Institutional Cook to
join our dynamic kitchen team within the healthcare sector. This
role is pivotal in providing nutrient-rich, therapeutic meals that
support the recovery and health of our patients. Situated in our
state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, you will work closely with
dietitians and healthcare professionals to prepare dietary-specific
meals according to the unique needs of our patients. The
Institutional Cook must maintain the highest standards of
cleanliness and safety, adhere to all regulatory guidelines, and
contribute positively to our team-oriented environment. Prepare
meals according to the dietary and nutritional needs of the
patients. Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare providers to
plan menus and dietary considerations. Ensure kitchen cleanliness
and sanitary cooking conditions. Maintain inventory and order
kitchen supplies. Comply with health and safety regulations.
Monitor kitchen equipment upkeep and performance. Proficiency in
large-scale meal preparation Strong understanding of nutritional
principles in a healthcare setting Excellent time management and
organizational skills Ability to adhere to health and safety
regulations Skilled in using kitchen tools and equipment safely and
