Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Odessa, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,878 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/24/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: 2 Years Preferred License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Community hospital experience preferred. Trauma level II experience required. Charting system experience preferred, Cerner preferred. Description: The position requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist for adult medical/surgical, adult critical care, and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include providing respiratory care to patients with various pulmonary conditions. The therapist will perform direct intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care and management. Experience with advanced ventilatory support modalities is necessary. Skills in pulmonary hygiene and the administration of respiratory medications are essential. The therapist will also be responsible for interpreting arterial blood gases and performing capillary blood gas analysis. Experience with emergency procedures and critical care settings is required. The candidate should have the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in high-stress environments. Knowledge of patient diagnosis processes and special procedures related to respiratory care is crucial. Daily responsibilities may include managing high-frequency jet ventilation and providing care for neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high patient census. Flexibility to cover weekend shifts as needed is required.
