Job Description:
Encompass Health seeks a dedicated Nutrition Services Aide to
join our healthcare team. Positioned at the intersection of
healthcare and food service operations, the role focuses on
providing nutritious meals essential for the recovery and
well-being of patients across our facilities. This position offers
the opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment where
the focus is on meaningful work, patient outcomes, and community
wellness. Prepare and deliver meals to patients according to
dietary restrictions and preferences. Assist in the maintenance of
kitchen equipment and cleanliness of the food service area to
comply with safety and hygiene regulations. Coordinate with
healthcare providers to ensure nutritional needs of patients are
met in accordance to their care plans. Engage with patients and
gather feedback on food services to contribute to service
improvements. Maintain accurate records of food supplies, dietary
needs, and patient preferences to assist in inventory management
and meal planning. Knowledge of basic food safety and handling
procedures. Ability to follow dietary orders and health
regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
